What you are looking at is an actual patients before and after x-ray of his painful arthritic thumb. He has had pain for many years which was relieved after only 3 visits with our shockwave therapy. In the picture below you can see the reduction of arthritis (the white stuff called sclerosis in the joint). You can also see more black in between the bones which is called “joint space” which is why this patient had an improvement in his mobility as well as a decrease in his pain.
