Sports Chiropractic
What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is traditionally known as a safe and effective way to treat headaches, back pain, reduce stress levels, enhance the immune and nervous system and improve overall well being. This is done by locating misalignments between the vertebrae of the spine and performing specific Chiropractic adjustments (given by hand) to those affected areas. The Chiropractic adjustment restores proper alignment and function to the spinal joints, thereby restoring the normal nerve transmission and healing potential to the vital structures of the body. Chiropractic patients notice increased reaction time, enhanced immune function and pain relief from the traditional Chiropractic adjustment. However, just correcting the joint misalignment is not enough, muscle imbalances must be corrected or your relief will be temporary.
What is the difference between Chiropractic and Sports Chiropractic?
Sports Chiropractic expands on the traditional chiropractic approach by including treatment on the muscular system and analyzing movement to see how your body functions as a unit. This approach allows us to correct the specific cause of your symptoms and not just the site of pain. It is known as Sports Chiropractic because it is used to improve the athletic performance of people ranging from the weekend warrior to the collegiate and professional athlete. Although our approach is phenomenal for athletic performance it will also decrease pains and provide a great alternative to surgery for anyone of any age. Our goal is to treat patients for the specific cause of their symptoms, get them back to what they love to do as quickly as possible and help them reach their peak performance.
